There is nothing we love more than seeing lockers out there in the world and finding out how people use them in their own homes. When we saw The Lowdown in Blush pop up on the Instagram feed of Martha Brook London, it made our hearts so happy!
Martha Brook are creators of beautiful stationery, desk accessories and gifts. They also so happen to love Blush as much as we do and if you love to colour co-ordinate like us (who doesn't?!) their stationery matches our lockers beautifully.
Martha is the founder and the proud owner of the Lowdown in Blush in her newly renovated home office. You can see the whole space over on their blog, but we wanted find out a little more! We chatted about what's in her locker, why she chose the Lowdown and how she uses it in her beautiful new office.

Tell us a little about you and your business!
Hello, I’m Martha, founder of London stationery brand Martha Brook. We make inspiring and empowering paper goods that make it beautifully simple to get organised and live your life with greater intention.
The business started 7 years ago in my bedroom in Brook Green, London (where our name comes from!) and it has grown from there because of the passion of our community of stationery lovers and it has been quite the journey. I now have an amazing team based out of our studio in West London who are all as passionate as I am about creating beautiful designs and uplifting products that help people be the best version of themselves.
We loved reading all about renovating your new home office and we are especially jealous of the pink door! Did you have your Lowdown before the renovation or did you get it especially?
I got my locker in lockdown this year after lusting after Mustard products for some time! After working from home for the best part of a year, I decided it was time for a home office makeover, which was the perfect time to treat myself!
2020 was definitely the year of the home office, I'm sure a lot of people can relate! Could you talk us through the locker you chose for your new space and why it was the perfect option for you?
I chose The Lowdown locker in Blush, which anyone who follows Martha Brook on our Instagram will know was the only possible colour choice for me! It perfectly fits into my small space whilst being deceptively large inside. It is brilliant both for storage and displaying a selection of things that bring me joy.
Speaking of things that bring you joy, the question we all want to know - what is in your locker? How do you use it?
I adore my locker! It is the ideal storage space to hide away files, props and the excessive amount of stationery I have! Running a stationery business that continually releases new designs and products, I seem to never be able to resist a new notebook, planner or desk pad and have amassed quite a few!
It also provides the ideal surface to display a selection of lovely things that inspire me. The dried flowers are from MUD Urban Flowers, cute twisted candle from Sugar and Cement, postcard from Rose England, art print is one of my favourites of ours, and the Venus candle I made in a virtual workshop we did as a team with Yougi.
There’s space for my favourite Martha Brook wall calendar hanging above it. The peach candle is also from Sugar and Cement and holder from The People Shop.
We know it's not easy picking favourites, but if you had to narrow it down - what are your favourite things about your locker?
One of Martha Brook’s aims is to help our customers create beautifully styled workspaces that are a pleasure to spend time in, and that spark the imagination. Mustard’s lockers really fit that brief too. My locker is so stylish and useful at the same time.
I am a big believer that small things in your workspace can have a huge impact on how you feel and your day-to-day productivity. If I had to pick the things that make the biggest difference to me they would include empowering stationery, stylish desk accessories and beautiful storage. Martha Brook and Mustard are therefore a match made in heaven!
