A look back on the Mustard moments we can’t stop thinking about…
In February, Kendrick Lamar stood on the Super Bowl half-time stage and yelled “MUSTARD!” While he might not have been rapping about colourful lockers, this year has been absolutely packed full of Mustard moments big, small, weird and wonderful. We spotted a Mustard Lowdown in Justin Bieber’s home, launched new (non-locker!) products and gave ourselves a shiny new glow-up. Before we pop the champagne and turn our sights to 2026, let’s take a look at ten of our favourite moments from this year.
Brand New
It’s been eight years since Mustard was born, and like all 8 year olds, we were outgrowing some of our old outfits. This year we gave ourselves a glow-up with a brand new look and a brand new website. We’re a brand new brand!
China Times Two
Becca and our product design team headed to China not once but twice this year. We’d tell you what they were there for, but that might be giving it away! You’ll have to stay tuned in 2026 to find out what we’ve been up to. All we can say is, we can’t wait to share…
Pride of Place
Every year we celebrate Pride and in 2025 we were thrilled launch our Pride campaign with Drag performer Timberlina. We were able to donate an incredible $43,164 USD to Outright International as a result – definitely one of our proudest moments this year.
The Welcome Wagon
We rolled out the welcome mat quite a few times this year, with our team growing faster than ever. There are now over 40 lovely people making the Mustard across our two offices in Newcastle, Australia and London, UK. Which brings us to…
On the Move
…our beautiful, colourful home in London suddenly started to feel a little tight at the seams! Only two years ago our Camden office seemed enormous, but with so many new faces in Team Mustard, it was time to make a move. We packed everything up into boxes and got settled at our new space, complete with colour-coded meeting rooms and our signature rainbow wall of Skinnys.
Stock Standard
Working with our amazing global community of stockists is one of the highlights of life at Mustard. In 2025 we added some dream partners to our list of Mustard stockists, including Bloomingdales in the US and David Jones in Australia. There are now more places than ever where you can visit a locker in person (tell them we said hi if you do.)
Awards Season
Mustard turned gold this year with our Glass Collection winning ‘Best Living Room Storage Solution’ in the Ideal Home Awards. It wasn’t just about our products, though, with our UK office named as one of The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work and our Australian business coming in at number 12 on The Australian Financial Review list of the 100 fastest-growing companies in Australia.
We Heart New York
In August our Wholesale and Trade team travelled to the Big Apple (someone’s gotta do it!) to attend the independent trade show Shoppe Object. We returned home full of ideas, inspiration, and – obviously – pizza slices.
Story Time
2025 was the start of a new chapter for Mustard: we launched our latest products, The Storyboard and The Buttons. Our love for lockers isn’t going anywhere, but we are excited to be bringing the rainbow to a whole new range of pieces to colour your world.
First Comes Love
It wouldn’t be a Mustard recap without us getting a little sentimental. Team Mustard celebrated some big milestones this year: Kate and Hannah B-E both got engaged (yay!), Mel got married (woo!), and we welcomed four mini Mustards to the world (aww). It was all about the baby boys, with Ruben, Sebastian, Fred and Rupert making their entrances in 2025.
Thanks for helping us make 2025 such a special year for Mustard. We’re so excited to share what we have up our sleeves for 2026, but first, we’ll be taking a quick break to catch our breath and say cheers to the year.
